Due to the change in the training approach, almost all the model's skills have significantly improved, from shortening texts and answering open questions to generating ideas. Also, the highlighting of semantic parts of the text, code blocks and formulas for science have improved, and the structure of the answer has become more readable and beautiful. Expert in various fields GigaChat now has an even greater expert volume of knowledge in a huge range of subject areas. The development team has updated and expanded the training datasets, which has improved the quality of model responses in such areas as economics, law and medicine. The model has especially improved on scientific issues in biology, chemistry and physics. Also, the quality of solving mathematical problems according to the open GSM8K and MATH datasets has increased by 25%. At the moment, according to the latest results of the MERA benchmark, GigaChat MAX has taken first place among all Russian AI models and is among the leaders among foreign ones. And according to the results of internal evaluation in the MMLU (Massive Multitask Language Understanding) benchmark, the model achieved 80% in knowledge of the real world and sciences.
